These terms apply to all website design services provided by Hit Craze (“we”, “us”, “our”) to you (“the client”). By submitting a project brief or approving a quote, you agree to these terms.
1. Our services
We design and build websites for small businesses, as described in the package you choose (Launch, Business or Large) and any add-ons you select. We do not build online shops or e-commerce functionality.
2. Page allowance
Each package includes up to a set number of pages: Launch up to 15, Business up to 30, Large up to 60. Every unique page counts, including blog posts. Privacy, cookie and terms pages are included free and do not count towards your total. Additional pages are quoted before work begins.
3. Timescales
Delivery times are 7 days (Launch), 10 days (Business) and 14 days (Large). They start from the day we receive your completed project brief and any content or images you have agreed to provide. Delays in providing information or feedback will extend the timescale.
4. Content
You may provide your own copy and images, or ask us to write your copy using the information in your project brief.
You are responsible for checking and approving all content before your website goes live, including any copy we write for you. By approving your website, you confirm that its content is accurate, that any claims about your business, services, prices or qualifications are true, and that it complies with any rules that apply to your industry.
You confirm that you own or have permission to use any text, images, logos or other materials you supply.
5. Test website and revisions
We build your website on a private test address. Each package includes 3 revision rounds. A revision round is one consolidated list of changes sent to us at the same time. Further changes after 3 rounds are quoted before work begins.
6. Approval, payment and going live
No deposit is required. Payment of the package price is due when you approve your website. We will put your website live on your domain once payment has been received, usually on the same day.
All prices are shown excluding VAT, which is added at the current rate.
If you decide not to proceed before approving your website, you owe us nothing and the test website will be removed.
7. Domain name
If you do not already have a domain name, we will register one for you. Registration is free for the first year for standard domain extensions such as .co.uk, .uk and .com; other extensions are quoted separately. If you already own a domain, we will connect it to your new website at no extra cost.
8. Domain, hosting, plugins and renewals
Your domain (where we register it), hosting and the following premium plugins are included free for the first year: Elementor Pro and Rank Math SEO Pro. From the second year, the following annual fees apply:
- Domain — £20 + VAT
- Hosting — £100 + VAT
- Elementor Pro — £25 + VAT
- Rank Math SEO Pro — £25 + VAT
You may cancel any renewal by giving us written notice at least 30 days before the renewal date. Cancelling a plugin may remove the features it provides. If you cancel your domain renewal, we will help you transfer the domain to another provider before it expires.
Hosting includes up to 100 email accounts of 1 GB each, daily backups, a free SSL certificate and a CDN.
9. Ownership
Once you have paid in full, you own your website’s content and design. Third-party software (such as WordPress, themes and plugins) remains subject to its own licence terms.
10. Liability
We take care to build reliable, secure websites, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability or specific search engine rankings. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us for the service concerned. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UK law.
11. Privacy
We handle your personal data in line with our Privacy Policy.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
